We are looking for:
- Adults diagnosed with haemophilia, von Willebrand disease or another condition that requires infusions
- Children diagnosed with haemophilia, von Willebrand disease or another condition that requires infusions
- Caregivers who provide infusions
Healthcare Opinions are working with a pharmaceutical company, who would like feedback on a prototype infusion kit, and associated instructions for use, from those it is being designed for.
Therefore, we would like to invite adults and children who have been diagnosed with haemophilia, von Willebrand disease or another condition that requires them to be prescribed infusions, to take part in a one to one session in a central location in either Stockport, Birmingham or London.
Participants will be asked to use the device in a simulated way into a skin like injection trainer pad and then discuss with the researchers how user friendly they think it is. This is not a clinical trial and participants will not be asked to take any medication or alter their prescribed medication.
All children taking part in the study, must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Adults taking part in the study will receive £80 and parent and child pairs, £120.
Given the current Covid-19 situation, we would like to assure you that we will be following the government guidelines and take the necessary measures to provide study participants with a clean environment that supports social distancing. Typical precautions will include disinfecting the site with disinfectant e.g. Clinell wipes between participants, providing PPE, hand washing, non-contact temperature measurement, and protective screens. In addition, study personnel have been trained on infection control and will be wearing a mask.
