We are looking for:
  • Consultants, SAS, LED, FY1, FY2 GP's, SpR's & Final Year Medical Students

We are currently recruiting a research study on behalf of the General Medical Council (GMC).

I am writing to ask if you would be willing to take part in a two-week online forum about professional standards.

The forum will take place between Thursday 13th and Thursday 27th May. You’d be required to log in to the forum and answer a series of questions every few days. We anticipate the total time commitment would be approximately 2-3 hours over the two-week period, and you would be able to log in at a time that was convenient to you.

What is the purpose of the study?

The GMC is responsible for setting the standards that all doctors in the UK should follow. Their guidance for doctors sets out the professional values, knowledge, skills, and behaviours expected of all doctors working in the UK.

The GMC is reviewing its core guidance, Good Medical Practice. They have stated their commitment to carrying out this review in their corporate strategy. As part of the review, they want to better understand the views of those that use their guidance, including what they think about it, how they access it, and how they apply it in their work. The findings will help to guide decision-making throughout the review so the GMC can make sure their future standards are clear, realistic, and relevant.

For participating in the research, you will receive an honorarium as a thank you for your time and input.

The GMC Supporting Letter & FAQs are attached which includes all the information if you would like to verify the research.
